Monthly Board Meetings

Board meetings are held at 7 p.m. every second Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, which is on the corner Exposition and Gilpin streets. These are open meetings and all are invited to attend. Elections to the board are held annually in May or June.

WPENA-Sponsored Events

July 4 - 10th Annual Neighborhood Picnic at Remodeled Boathouse

For a decade, July 4th has been a time for residents of both Wash Park East and West to join together for fun in the park. This year’s annual event will be held Wednesday, July 4 at the newly renovated boathouse. We need help in getting sponsors, posting flyers, making bike parade decorations and directing “traffic”, and many other FUN activities. If you would like to help with organizing the July 4th event, please email Lori Poole at pooleLL@hotmail.com or call 303-903-5892.

August 4 - 2nd Annual Neighborhood-Wide Yard Sale

Last year more than 75 households participated in the first WPENA-sponsored yard sale event. Again this year, WPENA will promote the event with:

- ads in area newspapers and websites

- flyers posted in local businesses

- maps distributed before and day-of event and posted to various websites with addresses of participating households noted

All you need to do is price and organize your stuff and set it out in your front yard or back alley to sell on Saturday, August 4. If you are interested in volunteering to promote the event or being added to the 2012 map, join in the fun by emailing wpena@comcast.net.
